Data Protection
Be assured I will not share your personal data, address or contact details.
Got a job – send me a picture
I am only too happy to personally review your needs, but a few photos of your project will help me prepare for a short discussion and thereafter a guideline price.
Google Earth and Street maps
I can usually come to appreciate your project remotely, using Google and your house number and postcode
Guideline price
A guideline price is an experienced estimate of the cost of your project based on images and explanation
How location affects price
Obviously, location affects the price of a project, but only in so much that I recover transport costs at 20p a mile, my time travelling to and from are my costs not yours
Surveying
Once I have a picture and your address, I’ll review the basics on Google maps, I can take basic measurements this way and scope a price based on scale.
Calculating the square meterage of a project at a set rate per metre is a good start. This is supplemented with a site visit to ascertain the basics such as access, location of a water supply and the lie of the land as all this can affect the time it takes to clean and clear up.
Water consumption
I frequently arrive with 500 litres onboard, but will require a supply, so the majority of water used will be at your expense. Although the water supply is connected to my buffer tank, it’s often stemmed by the ballcock in the tank, which refills with use.
Consumables
Consumables are fuel, chemicals and sand used for re-sanding a block driveway, although I arrive with 500 litres of water, I will use your supply to refill
Buffer tank
The pressure washer draws 22 litres per minute and this ‘flow rate’ is one reason why it’s so effective, but the average water supply runs at between 9 and 11 litres per minute, so topping up the tank allows the washer to reliably draw what it needs
Working in remote places
Having a supply of water onboard means I can attend remote locations where there is no water supply and it’s not uncommon for me to travel back and forth between a supply and the location to undertake a project if necessary
Water and waste management
Water and waste management and your location when establishing a price for a project.
Quoting procedures
Once I’ve seen your project remotely and/or personally, I will email a quotation or indeed simply text a price, unless we have already spoken about it during the survey
Estimating
I have a rate per metre that provides an idea of cost, but I also have to consider location, transport costs, difficulty, reach, access, drainage and the resources required on site to ascertain the true cost of a project
Decluttering means a discount
Decluttering before I arrive will result in a faster turnaround, so if you can clear the area to be cleaned, the cost will reduce
Location and timing
Further savings can be made if I can arrange to undertake a project when already in the area, so it’s worth asking me to collaborate on dates with other project for the benefit of all parties.
Prevention rather than cure
It can take twice as long to clean a really neglected surface over one that’s regularly cleaned, so where a deep clean costs more, it’s thereafter less expensive to clean if addressed regularly
Service plans
Ask me about service intervals and get me on site annually or bi-annually and I’ll keep your proper’s exterior surfaces attractive, clean and safe in the long term
Clearing the area
All cars need to be parked elsewhere when cleaning a drive with all adjoining surfaces such as kerbs, walls, doors, windows and garage doors are washed on completion.
Staff and customer health and safety
I section off areas using tape and use strategically positioned signs to warn all that work is being carried out; looking out for people helps too!
Working during down time
If the planned work has to be carried out during downtime to avoid the risks involved in cleaning, I am happy to work during these times.
Safety mindset
Your property assets are protected during any my work with loose stones being swept away to avoid personal injury or property damage and I wear PPE.
Risk Avoidance
Risk avoidance and mitigation is an ongoing matter, please be assured that risks are avoided at every opportunity and I have never had a claim made against me.
Insurance
I am fully insured to the tune of £5m and carry out a risk assessment before commencing work.
Self regulation and common sense
Self regulation means I start a job by assessing and mitigating any risk to myself, anyone around me, your property assets and the immediate and downstream environment.
Waste disposal
Water waste is filtered and debris separated with waste water being safely pumped or allowed to drain away. Other material is removed from site and disposed of compliantly.
Payment methods
Payment upon completion is required, preferably by BACs transfer, cash or by credit card.
Invoicing policy
Regardless of how you pay me, a printed invoice is provided for your reference.
Communications protocol
Only with your permission, will I email, text or call at least to check on the work and or to see if I am required still further.
Referrals
Be assured that any referrals made provided by you will be dealt with promptly, politely and with a duty of care afforded to me by your confidence in me – thank you.
