Front of House care

Regular cleaning of a communal facilities

I frequently work of collectives; residents living in a community with communal grounds, service roads and entrances. Brickwork, timber and rendered surfaces all get dirty and this is the first aspect of the community that gets approached, so it’s better for it to be maintained in appearance just like a set of electronic gates are kept in working order. In the case featured, I also keep the gates themselves clean and this affects the aesthetics and the intervals between repainting. Clean surfaces allows blemishes that might otherwise go unnoticed to be recognised for what they are, indications that some minor improvements be implemented. This positively affects the longevity of what can be a very expensive investment.

What I do for this project

I sweep and clear detritus and cobwebs, gently wash the rendered and painted surfaces, getting into areas largely unnoticed but unsightly nonetheless and then sweep the kerb, dispose of the resulting leaves, litter and branches and thoroughly pressure wash the kerb and roadside. In the case of tarmac surfaces, I use less pressure and a water broom nozzle. Its an inexpensive house keeping commitment for the Residents and if addressed twice a year, a great way of keeping the appearance in the manner it deserves.
