Maintaining your home’s exterior
Driveway, paths and patio cleaning

I clean and maintain driveways, paths and patios for homeowners across Hampshire and Dorset
Surfaces
I regularly clean drives, paths and patios constructed of tarmac, concrete and clay block paving, natural stones such as Indian sandstone, limestone, slate, granite, tradition and flagstone, porcelain and marble. I also clean brickwork, decking and fencing, acrylic and glass.
Driveways
Paviers have a sealed appearance when they’re first laid, but over the years they get dirty and slippery with algae and moss and reach a time when they need deep cleaning.
If your driveway has reached this point, I can bring it back to life and attend on an annual basis thereafter to simply wash it and keep it looking attractive and safe.
Patios, terraces and paths
I carefully clean patios, terraces and tiled surfaces and can reach most aspects of your property. Variable pressure protects the surfaces and chemicals are only used to spot areas where black and white lichen has etched into the substrate over time.
Cleaning process
The process follows a critical path and can be influenced by which way the water is going to run or indeed, pool. Obviously, cars need to be parked elsewhere and in the case of patios and terraces, furniture, potted plants and BBQs removed. Sweeping carefully removes dirt, leaves and small stones and from there the cleaning can commence. I use a lance with a variety of nozzles and if the area is very large, a surface cleaner. I use low pressure and spot clean using a higher pressure or chemicals where it’s safe to do.
I can safely, quickly and effectively clean the following:
Residential exteriors
- Entrances, walls and gates
- Driveways and pathways
- Patios and pool surrounds
- Decking and fencing
- Terraces and timber pergolas
Pricing
I charge by the square metre and consider the substrate, condition and location when pricing
Surveying objectives
Where to park, what needs cleaning, what is the condition and the pressure of your outside tap and how much furniture needs moving.
